Mother Teresa was a revered humanitarian who founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950.

Her major achievements include establishing clinics, homes for the dying, and hospitals, providing care and dignity to the destitute and ill.

 

마더 테레사는 1950년 자선 선교회를 설립한 존경 받는 인도주의자였습니다.

그녀의 주요 업적은 병원, 임종을 맞는 사람들을 위한 집, 병원을 설립하고 가난하고 병든 사람들에게 보살핌과 존엄성을 제공하는 것입니다.

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty. 

우리는 가끔 가난이란 배고프고, 벌거벗고, 집이 없는 것일 뿐이라고 생각합니다. 원치 않고, 사랑받지 못하고, 보살핌 받지 못하는 것이 가장 큰 가난입니다. 우리는 이런 종류의 가난을 해결하기 위해 우리 자신의 집에서 시작해야 합니다.

 

I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor? 
Intense love does not measure, it just gives. 
One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody.

Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go. 

 

돈을 주는 것만으로 만족하지 말자 돈은 충분하지 않고, 돈은 얻을 수 있지만, 그들을 사랑하기 위해서는 여러분의 마음이 필요하기 때문에, 여러분이 가는 곳마다 여러분의 사랑을 펼쳐라.

 

Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work. 
죽어가는 자, 가난한 자, 외로운 자, 원치 않는 자들을 우리가 받은 은혜대로 만지고 부끄럽거나 더디지 않게 하여 겸손한 일을 하도록 합시다.

 

 

If you want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it. 
Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is the love of Jesus. 

사랑의 메시지가 들리게 하려면 그것을 내보내야 하고, 램프가 계속 타도록 하려면 기름을 계속 넣어야 합니다. 
많은 사람들이 우리의 일을 우리의 천직으로 착각합니다. 우리의 천직은 예수님의 사랑입니다.

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat. 
원치도 않고, 사랑받지도 못하고, 배려받지도 못하고, 모두에게 잊혀지는 것, 그것이 아무것도 먹을 것이 없는 사람보다 훨씬 더 큰 배고픔이고, 훨씬 더 큰 가난이라고 생각합니다.

 

 

 

Each one of them is Jesus in disguise. 
I try to give to the poor people for love what the rich could get for money. No, I wouldn't touch a leper for a thousand pounds; yet I willingly cure him for the love of God. 

 

그들 각각은 변장한 예수입니다. 
나는 가난한 사람들에게 부자들이 돈을 받고 얻을 수 있는 것을 사랑을 베풀려고 노력합니다. 아니요, 천 파운드를 들여 나환자를 건드리지는 않겠지만, 하나님의 사랑을 위해 기꺼이 그를 치료합니다.
